Main Menu / Game Setup

  1. Starting off: The Main Menu
    2. After logging into Project Torque, you will first find yourself at the Main Menu. Here you can navigate through the world of Project Torque.
    1. Replay (-> Replay selection window)
    2. Play mode (-> Takes you to play modes)
    3. Mission/Tasks mode (-> Missions/tasks Lobby)
    4. Practice modes (-> Practice mode Lobby)
    5. License center (-> License screen)
    6. Shop (-> Shop screen)
    7. Tuning/Garage (-> Tuning/Garage screen)
    8. Credits (-> shows the credits screen)
    9. Rankings (-> Rankings screen)
    10. Options menu (-> Shows game setup and video options)
    11. Exit to Windows (-> Logs completely out of the game)
    12. AP in bank (Aeria Points currently in bank)
    13. RP in bank (Racing Points currently in bank)
    14. Locked items (Shows what level till next item to be unlocked is)


  2. Learn to Play: The Practice Mode Screen
    3. This screen is for setting up the practicing mode. This mode is for racing against the clock, not against other opponents. You can set various options here, like maps, daytime, and lap numbers before starting.
    1. This panel is for setting up the details of the practice race. The following options can be set here:
      • Practice options selection(-> Chose Mode,Map,Laps,Time Of Day etc)
      • Chose car(-> Pick the car you want to practice with)
      • Styling and Performance(-> Pick your tuning modes and style options)
      • Start(-> Starts the practice session)


  3. Leveling Up: The License Center
    4. The License Center is there to level up your racing skills. Players need to pass license tests to advance in level. There is a license test for each Racer Class in the level up system.


  4. Joining a Game: Lobby Screen
    5. Once you hit the "Play Mode" button you will be taken to a primary screen which shows all the current play modes and the number of users that are currently playing in each mode. You can now select a play mode and from here brings you to the main lobby of the chosen mode. Players are able to create or join rooms here. There are options for chatting and examining the players who have already logged into that lobby.

    5. Join a room as spectator when box is checked off

    8. Options(-> Will take you to options menu)
    9. Exit (-> Will take you back to main menu)


  5. The Race Room
    6. Players gather here before the race. The creator of the room can set up the race options, like lap numbers and type of map.
    1. Car select
    2. Room settings and information tabs
    3. Select performance and styling options
    4. Ready up button
    5. Camera to look at others in the room (shows the players own car)
    6. Replay to save replays of races
    7. Back Pack to set Back Pack Items
    8. Exit to leave race room and return to lobby


  6. Improve Your Ride: The Shop Screen
    7. The shop is the place where the player can buy tuning items, performance upgrades, girls or many miscellaneous items.
    1. Car Select panel to pick a certain car to upgrade
    2. Items tabs and parts menu
    3. Cars section (-> shows all cars available in the shop)
    4. Parts (-> will show parts and styling parts)
    5. Upgrades (-> will show tuning and performance parts)
    6. Miscellaneous items (->shows all other misc. items)
    7. Girls (-> shows sponsor girls) (-> changes the content of the Item selection panel)
    8. Missions items
    9. Tuning/Garage (-> will take you to Tuning/Garage scree)
    10. Check out (-> will show all items in shopping cart and checkout)
    11. Exit (-> back to the previous screen: main menu, lobby or tuning)



  7. Mod Your Ride: The Tuning screen/Garage
    8. The Tuning screen/Garage has practically the same look as the Shop screen has, except for a few elements like the Pay button. The item selection panel is for browsing items already purchased and gifts.
    1. Parts (-> will show all purchased styling and balancing items for selected car)
    2. Upgrades (-> shows all performance upgrades purchased for selected car)
    3. Miscellaneous (- > shows purchased misc. items)
    4. Girls(->shows current active Sponsor Girls)
    5. Avatar (- >future Avatar settings)
    6. Shop (->Will take you to the shop)
    7. Exit (-> Takes you to main menu or game lobby)
    8. Test Drive Button (-> Will take you into test drive mode to test performance and balancing changes)


  8. Customize Your Game: The Options Screen
    9. In this window, you can set up the aspects of the game, like video, sound settings and controls.

    The window has five buttons on the top. The following functions to be found in this window:

    1. Chat
    2. Game
    3. Control
    4. Sound
    5. Video
